I downloaded this app for story time with my son and we spent over an hour playing around with everything. The music and voice over is really beautiful and its great that theres something on every page to interact with. Our favorite page is the page with the blackberries...its so much fun to squish them!!! Definitely our new favorite app!
If only Miss Potter were alive today, she would be overjoyed with what has been done to extend her basic ideas into an interactive media experience. Beautifully executed app, excellent narration, and nicely thought out to motivate children to learn to read the story. My daughter will love this. I look forward to further productions from this developer.
My kids and I love all the childrens book apps out there right now but this one really shines bright above the rest. The kids are crazy about all the things to play with on every page. Such a beautiful book. The music and the voice are very well done. I had to literally pry the iPad out of my littlest ones hands to get him to go to bed! Highly recommend this one to all the parents and Beatrix Potter lovers out there.
This book is BIG but its worth the download. My kids enjoy exploring each page to watch how objects react and to listen to the sound effects they make. They also love the real berries and leaves that pop out and the ability to push them around with their fingers. Having the book optionally narrate to you is a nice touch and the word repeat will be great when theyre older. Ive come across a lot of clever digital books out there but this one definitely takes the cake!
I have purchased a few hundred applications so far, and of all of them, this is the most enchanting. It looks great on the iPhone and the iPad and is truly delightful. I think that Beatrice Potter would be amazed and thrilled to know that her story is being brought to the world in this amazingly wonderful interactive, digital format. I highly recommend this app for the child in everyone!
The nicest childrens book yet by far! The narration is really really nicely done, the artwork is incredible. The sound effects will really appeal to youngsters. The entire feel of this book is great.
However...The app crashed randomly a lot at one point. A complete reboot of the ipad seemed to solve that though. It needs an update to fix that. Hopefully it will get fixed asap so as not to tarnish this apps reputation too much. Its very nicely done otherwise. Four stars. Id give it five if it werent for that issue.
Some bad moments
This app is broken. It wont load. All I get is a blank screen. Glad I only wasted 1.99 instead of 4.99. Major disappointment. Zero stars outta five.
The app will not open. Thats 5 bucks that could have gone to charity.
